More than 1 billion people live here

In one of my classes we looked at the inspirational story of Babar Ali, a 16 year old Indian, who is headmaster in a school with 800 students.

He lives in West Bengal, which you can see on the map above (if you click on the map you can see a bigger version).

In one of my classes yesterday we looked at the south African country of Malawi. The map on the handout was not so clear, so here is a much better and clearer map.

If you hover your cursor over the map and click then you can get an even bigger and better version of this map. And if you click again then it gets even bigger!

Mexico map

In one of my classes today we looked at a map of Mexico. As usual the copy was not so clear so here is a much clearer version in colour.

Israel map

In one of my classes today we looked at some of the issues in Israel and particularly in Gaza. The map which I gave each student wasn’t very clear, so here is the digital version, and if you put your cursor over the map and click you can get an even bigger map.

In one of my classes we looked at the damage being done by tourism to the Galapagos Islands. These islands are part of the country of Ecuador.

The Galapagos tourists bring a great deal of money to Ecuador, which is not a very rich country, but the unique animals and plants in the Galapagos are in danger.

Australia map

In one of my classes we studied some things about Australia and I made a photocopy of a map of Australia for each student. The original map was in colour, but of course the photocopy was black and white, or rather grey and grey, and was not so easy to see.

So here is the full colour map, and if you click your cursor over the map you can see a nice big image with no grey!
