Even though it rarely rains in the Sahara Desert there are sometimes clouds, lots of small, wispy clouds, which form an amazing layer over the sand dunes.
we just saw these same cloud formations flying from Mombasa to Europe over Lybia. Passengers were insisting the clouds hung over rock formations…I said no those are shadows of the clouds on the sand/dirt below.
