I thought that nearly every bird can fly. The only birds that cannot fly are really big ones like ostriches and emus, and others that don’t need to fly like kiwis, and of course penguins.
But I always thought that chickens can fly.

So why don’t the chickens fly over the river?
As far as my memory serves, and I lived a long time in the country, the most a chicken can fly is only a few metres. On the other hand, they run pretty fast!

So I guess this narrow bridge is just what they need.

Makes sense when you put it like that.

But why use all that energy just to fly a few feet when it takes only a few steps????
