If you ever wondered where the chalk that is used on blackboards is from then look at the photo above.

This is a long limestone (chalk) cliff known as the Seven Sisters, which is on the Hampshire coast in the south of England. It is in places like these that enough chalk for all your classes can be found.

  1. I dont like chalk…our jr high school English teacher use to throw pieces of it at kids that were sleeping! (Not me of course….) and he had a really good aim….
