In Hawaii you can see rainbows every day, but they are much rarer in Shizuoka. So when a giant double rainbow crossed the sunny sky yesterday it was a sight enjoyed by many people. Even NHK showed pictures in the evening news.

I have to admit Mitsuko’s picture is a lot better than mine.
Last time I saw a rainbow in Shizuoka was a few years ago, and that was in a fountain.

Ha ha….Shizuoka bloggers all over are posting the same thing! I didn’t realize it was such a rarity. Used to see them all the time back home!
