I am going to take a blog break for a fortnight, and enjoy the sights of London.
Only 1431 days to go until the next Olympics in my hometown, London. I will start my training tomorrow.
Is this really the Olympics?
What sport is this?
This is an Olympic sport.
Why do they eat their medals?
What is this new Olympic sport?
Synchronised badminton of course!
This is good. Togo’s first ever Olympic medal, in the kayak race, great.
Have found a new sport for the Olympics: synchronised fencing.
Who paid for all this?
The Olympics begin today, on 8.8.8, a very lucky Chinese number.
But what is sport?
Here are two nice photos, both of them happen to consist of Chinese people, but that isn’t the point.
Both pictures show people doing something incredibly athletic and beautiful.
Performance or competition?
So what is the name of the ballpark in the picture of San Francisco below?
It is not Candlestick Park as I first thought. Actually it only took a little research to find out that it is AT&T Park. It was built in 2000 and is the home of the San Francisco Giants, and is probably most famous for all those home runs that Barry Bonds hit into San Francisco Bay.
