The amazing golden Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon, Myanmar (formerly Rangoon, Burma), consists of much more than one pagoda.

There is an huge complex of pagodas, temples and much more.

It is said that on a fine day you can see the glint of reflected sunshine from the golden pagoda when you are flying in a jetplane overhead.

It’s only 7mm long, this newly-found frog from Papua New Guinea.

It is almost certainly the smallest amphibian known to man, but it is also possibly smaller than any fish, making it the world’s smallest known vertebrate.

It stands on a huge plinth at the seaway entrance to Manhattan in the heart of New York.
